Dungowan Public School
Dungowan Public School is a small rural primary school located in the beautiful Dungowan valley, just a short drive from Tamworth. The majority of students travel to school on the bus with a few using private means.
Dungowan Public School first opened in 1874 and recently celebrated its 150th anniversary.
Our school and its supportive community strive to provide a safe, happy, quality learning environment which aims to achieve a balance in the social, emotional, physical, spiritual and academic development of all the students.
Dungowan Public School is a friendly school in which the children are polite, well mannered and protective of each other which is evidenced by the successful buddy system which operates between the Kindergarten and the Year Six students.
